Bunty’s Mindful Meditation & Commitment to Self-Care

In her cozy house, on a peaceful Sunday, Bunty came out of deep meditation and found her mind focused on the upcoming work week.

As a co-founder of a new business, she was excited to see what the week would bring.

She also knew that to truly succeed, she needed to prioritize her well-being and practice cat-care, something she has always struggled with.

She does some things that are good for her but balks at others.

As she sat on a carpet in her serene meditation room, Bunty made a promise to herself.

1. She would start each day with a drink of water from her favorite bowl, meditation to open her heart to shine light on everyone she encountered, practice 10 minutes of yoga, and make her bed.

These simple tasks (she enjoys and is consistent with, except making her bed) would set the tone for five productive and paws-ositive days.

2. Bunty also committed to attending three learning or networking events.

Expanding her knowledge and connecting with others is crucial to her success, and she LOVES meeting and talking to new cats.

3. To ensure she doesn't burn herself out, Bunty vowed to take a lunch break every day and step outside for fresh air, a run around the yard, and a nap in the sun.

4. Most importantly, Bunty reminded herself to be grateful, something that's very easy for her to be.

Reflecting on where she was this time last year, she smiled to herself and felt a sense of joy and accomplishment.

Bunty opened her eyes and took a deep stretch.

She was ready to tackle the week ahead.

She had come so far.
